Montreal–Berlin duo Raphaelle "Ra" Standell-Preston and Alexander "Agor" Cowan of Blue Hawaii, known for their dreamy electro-pop serenades, will embark on their long-awaited first Australian tour this December.
The duo released their debut EP Blooming Summer in 2010. Since then, they’ve undergone a series of artistic reinventions and personal transformations, maintaining their relevance for over a decade while being warmly embraced by the queer community worldwide.
Their latest album, Diamond Shovel, is a nod to ’90s trance music, with faster tempos and sparkling vocals. Though their sound has evolved, Blue Hawaii remain true to their underground ethos — still having fun with it, and their discography stands as a testament to that.
We have a very special line up of local talent to support Blue Hawaii’s dreamy inaugural Australian performance. Opening the night is Polemika’s own, Promzon followed by a local DJ and producer Lia T. Another local favourite, Mrs. Plow will close the night on a high note.
