Andreas Harsono is the author of Race, Islam, and Power: Ethnic and Religious Violence in Post-Suharto Indonesia and the Indonesian researcher for Human Rights Watch. In this session Andreas will share his experiences defending human rights – from the treatment of detainees in Papua New Guinea to women’s rights in Indonesia – and about how he represents the oppressed in order to hold oppressors accountable for their crimes.
