The Perth Jazz Society (PJS) are proud to host a Double Bill original jazz night featuring outstanding trumpeter Ricki Malet and Hammond Organ Trio Vib3.Vib3

Vib3 is an Organ trio formed in 2015 by Norberto Flamenco long time fan of the Hammond Organ B3. Although he studied jazz piano at WAAPA Norberto has always had a admiration for the the B3 and so after trying out various line ups he finally decided to form this group. He sought out High school friend Steve Vacca on Guitar and long time collaborator Fransico Munoz on Drums whom all shared Norb’s love for the Organ trio.

With Steve returning from overseas in 2019, the time was right to revamp the trio. They have played various residencies around Perth, performed at the Corner Pocket Jazz Festival and also live streamed many of their gigs. Mostly sticking to their own arrangements of jazz and pop tunes, this particular gig will have them showcasing material they have written both collaboratively and individually, on the road to crafting their own sound. Their music not only takes inspiration from modern artists such as Soulive and Delvon Lamar Organ trio, but also from the greats of Hammond Organ, such as Jimmy Smith and countless others.
