PUSH, aknowledges the traditional custodians of the Bibbulmun booja, the Wadjuk Noongar people: they are not only past, present, and ever emerging. Before the buildings: there were swamps, waterholes, wildlife, where nourishment breathed through the land. The song of how sovereignty was never ceded rings true, and the understanding that decolonialisation is an ongoing project pushes on. To become aware of these histories as we move, dance, and operate on Aboriginal land, is a step towards an immersive future, where the power of cultural change, is in the people.

The origin of the dance floor thrived to create an atmosphere where different bodies, perspectives and movements were free to express themselves outside the far reaches of human prejudices. PUSH, is another ongoing homage in cultivating this environment: where underground music is shared through the talents of diverse faces; and, the people gather to share a kindred interest in immersive connection. We are here to flourish together, collaborate and celebrate.
