Don’t @ Me ft Sakidasumi

Each Don’t @ Me event will have a different special guest who will showcase their style and influence the flavours of the night.

Our special guest for the third instalment of our event series is ...


SAKIDASUMI (DJ Set)

Sakidasumi (Umairah Murtaza) is a multi-faceted Indonesian artist from Australia. Her creative areas include photography, videography, graphic design, editing, production and performance.

Sakidasumi has worked with artists and labels such as Chela, KimKimKim, Garbage TV, Bernice Jiang, Tülay Dinçel, Toyotomi, Max Black and many more local artists to create music videos, press kits, editorials and music.

In 2019, Sakidasumi was involved in music video and theatre productions that won awards such as the 2019 WAM award for Best Music Video, Best New Work (Theatre) and Best Independent Production for the PAWA 2019 awards.

Since Sakidasumi’s 2018 debut single, “I Miss You So, But I’m Heading Home” (prod. Ryan Fennis, CBR) which now has 250,000 streams on Spotify, she has learnt to produce, and has been working with local producers to evolve her sound. She performs live and DJs locally, and has supported acts such as Joey Labeija, Matrixxman and many more. Currently, Sakidasumi is working on her debut EP < 3.

All ticket revenue raised will be donated to the Wirrpanda Foundation. The Wirrpanda Foundation aims to lead the provision of education and employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. They influence and inspire the empowerment of Indigenous Australian people through their diverse work force, which is led by their First Australian role models.
